Join us with daily Somatic Classes for exploring origins of movement . Arrive in your body through movement, bodywork, and embodied research.
After the success of the last SomaticBODY Intensive in Gomarduli, Christine Cole director of SomaticBODY and Nitzan Ledermann, Teacher in Training will present this workshop which will be all about somatic inquiry and re-discovery of our MOVEMENT roots!
"Some of us in the field of somatics and embodiment take it for granted that motion is primary for humans - yet most sciences focus on the body only to quickly jump to the mind, the brain, to psychology, trauma, or to sensing ourselves. Yet sensing developed together with movement and drained of movement, action, or engagement, sensing itself runs dry and loses touch with the wholeness of our being.
In these 5 days we will re-invigorate the un- separated body that moves, senses, thinks, and feels, we will invite studies in Embryology, Developmental patterns, Fluid movement, movement practices, & movent as connection and social engagement. We would like to give you the tools and experience to bodily & politically re-place movement into the center and core of our human being.
The senses rely on movement, they perceive movement, to refine movement. Can we re-ignite the true motivation, inspiration, and identity of our actions, our PLAY? - What are we drawn towards? How does desire become movement? Expect us to dig down as far as Brownian movement, vibration, and early movement of cells. We are offering 7 sessions in the 5 days, starting at 4 pm on the first day, we will also be available for private sessions in SomaticBODY"
